La Quinta Inn& Suites, Pocatello, ID
The Pocatello area was originally settled by the Shosoni and Bannock peoples; in the area that runs along the Portneuf river, until the arrival of Europeans in the 1800’s. A trading post was established in 1834 by a fur trader named Nathanial Jarvis Wyeth. It would become a vital stop on the Oregon Trail after Hudson’s Bay Company acquired the post.
